- Ordained a Local Elder for Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church.
- Education includes: BS in Management from Rutgers U., MBA from Rider U., BS and MS in the Bible, from Philadelphia Biblical University

The Rev. Dr. Carla Calizaire is an Itinerate Elder and native New Yorker, accepted her call into the ministry in 2001. The following year, she began serving as part of the ministerial staff of The Greater Allen AME Cathedral in Jamaica, NY under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Floyd H. Flake and Co-Pastor Dr. Elaine M. Flake.
Within Rev. Calizaire’s ministry she’s served as a Discipleship Instructor, a hospital Chaplain, Sunday School Teacher, taught community based courses surrounding achieving financial freedom, and co-led Journeys, a ministry for separated and divorced women. She has also been blessed with the opportunity to bring forth the word within prison walls and as far as Ghana, Africa.
Rev. Calizaire is also an experienced business woman who has held numerous roles including, sales and marketing leadership, business operations, process excellence, and market development roles for various fortune 500 companies. She’s currently working as a Senior Director, Commercial Operations for a leading pharmaceutical company where she manages a team of over 300 direct and contracted global employees focused on serving patients with diabetes. Prior to that she was a Marketing Director focused on bringing novel Type 2 Diabetes treatments to the market. As a result of her leadership, Carla was selected to represent her organization as the cover story of the annual “100 Best Companies” edition of Working Mother Magazine, recognized by Essence magazine as a woman of inspiration and featured in a “Woman in Business” article by Sylvia LaFari entitled Superwoman with Strong Shoulders. In 2011, she was also named an HBA (Healthcare Business Woman’s Associate) Rising Star of the Year.
Rev. Calizaire holds a Bachelors in Psychology and Marketing from Syracuse University, a Masters in Divinity from Drew University, a Masters of Art in Theological Studies with a focus on Pastoral Care from New Brunswick Theological Seminary, a Doctorate in Ministry from Drew University and is pursuing her MBA from St. Joseph's University.
She’s the proud mother of two boys, Christian and Jayson.
